    Default The Balance of Power

This is true. The Federal Government of Australia has commissioned an independent Royal Commission into Child Abuse.

We have learnt from the victims how the Church has been sexually abusing children for a long time. And just yesterday we learnt how the Salvation Army systematically sexually abused children.

All this is backed up by the Irish Judicial Enquiry into Child Abuse in the Church. And just yesterday the United Nations accused the Catholic Church of abusing tens of thousands of children recently.

Yes, the balance of power has shifted and our democratic government can no longer trust the Churches including the Salvation Army not to abuse children in their care.

Australia's great National Space is the Parliamentary Triangle and it contains our national institutions, except there is one private residence in the Parliamentary Triangle in a commanding position. This is not the private residence of the Prime Minister, or the Governor General or even the Chief Justice, no, it is the private residence of the Roman Catholic Archbishop.

This commanding private residence on the most important public land in Australia demonstrates the Churches desire for power and in particular their desire for power over vulnerable children.

And now the balance of power is shifting.

The Church has already lost to the Enlightenment. And now we are holding the Church accountable for their crimes against humanity, in particular, their sexual crimes against tens of thousands of children in their care.

Mole, are you reaching out to us from the past? Because here in the 21st century the enlightenment has come and gone and the Church remains after two millennia.

Don't be silly. The Enlightenment is all around us.

Every time you go and see your medical doctor you are treated by evidence based medicine, that is, the medicine of the Enlightenment.

And we now know that the Church has been raping children for the last 1,000 years and getting away with it.

Medicine and the scientific method pre-date the enlightenment.

They'll only get away with it if there's no God to judge them.

Facts seem to elude you. This is understandable if you believe three impossible things before breakfast.

But I assure you, you would not want to be treated by pre-enlightenment medicine. It was as likely to kill as heal.

They have gotten away with child sexual abuse for 1,000 years but the justice of liberal democracy grinds slowly but has ground away institutional slavery in 1833, given us the emancipation of women in 1900, and is bringing child sexual abusers to justice in 2014.

Whereas God has presided over institutional slavery, the oppression of women and the child sexual abuse. Why Jesus himself said not a word against institutional slavey although he was surrounded by it.
