Try clicking on the links to see why those search terms show up. The #1 link on my list for "women should not run" is this:

    http://athlete.io/5343/

    That article is terribly misogynistic.
    -----------------------------------
    women should:
    not run
    not be in combat
    not preach

    women shouldn't:
    work
    be in combat
    be cops
    vote
    go to college

    women can't:

    have it all
    drive
    live with them
    take a compliment
    be trusted

    women never:
    take responsibility
    approach me
    look at me
    make history
    married

    men should:
    always pray
    not get married
    wear makeup

    men shouldn't:

    wear shorts
    wear flip flops
    marry
    be jealous
    hit women

    men can't:

    be feminists
    lift chair
    be friends with women
    control themselves
    urinate

    men never:
    approach me
    change
    ask me out
    grow up
    look at me
"We grow up thinking that beliefs are something to be proud of, but they're really nothing but opinions one refuses to reconsider. Beliefs are easy. The stronger your beliefs are, the less open you are to growth and wisdom, because "strength of belief" is only the intensity with which you resist questioning yourself. As soon as you are proud of a belief, as soon as you think it adds something to who you are, then you've made it a part of your ego."

    For New Zealand:

Women should not speak in church
    Women shoulder tattoos
Women should not be in combat
    Women should not work
    Women should not preach
    Women should stay at home
Women should be seen and not heard
    Women shoulder bags
    Women shouldn't work

    Women need to shut up
    Women need to grow more
    Women need to sleep more
Women need to realise work isn't school
Women need to know about men
    Women need to feel safe
    Women need to be wanted
Women need to support each other
    Women need to feel loved
Women need to stand up for themselves

    Women can't have it all
    Women can't drive
    Women can't be trusted
Women can't drive in Saudi Arabia
    Women can't live with them
    Women can't take a compliment
Women can't go down in lifestyle
    Women can't do pull ups
    Women can't preach
    Women can't be sexist

Men should be what they seem
    Men shoulder bag
    Men should weep
    Men shoulder tattoos
    Men should always pray
    Men should wear saree
    Men should wear pink
    Men should not get married
    Men shoulder workouts
    Men should wear make up

Apparently, NZ men don't have enough passion for sarees either

I guess it doesn't really matter why a search is done -whether to endorse or combat a point of view - either way it holds up the mirror to common social attitudes.

I found these in the first page of each google search:
There's always someone in class who gets it wrong.

The test is of the autocomplete function, which brings up the most popular search terms in your locale.
Other factors can skew search results - such as the user's past search history. Which throws an interesting light on your anomalous results...

How often do you search for "Women should Rule the World", and "Old men Must die" and is it to endorse or combat?

Anyway, confused detractors aside, it should be noted that the other thing that can skew results is Google's hate speech filter which supposedly "protects" groups based on criteria such as race, gender, etc. So one has to assume the most offensive stuff is filtered out from suggested content...
Which raises questions about how much power we have given one monolithic, largely unregulated corporation to shape our view of reality/determine what is and what is not offensive.
    Disturbing indeed.

Well, first I clear out search history all the time, and don't use any "hate filters", just advertising filters on my home computer. But yesterday I used a different computer while travelling, so no history at all. Perhaps the search is skewed by the country I am in. There's also often someone in class who objects to the assignment, perhaps as "overdetermined". I have filled that role at times. Interesting, but not definitive.
I've been called a criminal, a terrorist, and a threat to the known universe. But everything you were told is a lie. The truth is, they've taken our freedom, our home, and our future. The time has come for all humanity to take a stand...

Auto-complete suggestions can be eye-opening ... and I do think there's merit to how this can serve as a reflection of deep-seated prejudice.

    Auto-complete poetry:

    Enjoy!

So, it's a well-executed awareness campaign, no question. Not only are the visuals compelling, it engages the viewer because everyone wants to test the results in their own browser. Brilliant. Flawed in some ways, but brilliant nonetheless.

I remember (many years ago now) we would invent or take an outlandish search term and get ranked for it by Google. It was a competition to see who could get ranked the fastest or the highest.

    Ah the memories ...

We see how well that worked out for Rick Santorum.

Well, first I clear out search history all the time, and don't use any "hate filters",
The filters are embedded in Google's algorithm, they aren't optional - you can't opt out of them. Hence my comment which should have made that clear. You didn't do the experiment correctly. Why don't you try again? Unless you're just being deliberately "controversial".

Are white people born with tails
    Are white people evil

    White people shouldn't rap
