Lol, that's usually a mistake. It's not an authority. And this stuff is really pretty basic common knowledge. You made a mistake, a little humility would become you better than squirming and insults.

The subject of little boys in modern schools is not seen as a major cause of concern here, though people - many of them women- do constantly rant about "the demise of guys." In any event, that ranting is on nowhere near the scale of people ranting about the various inequities suffered by women.

In this country, the Minister for Universities and Science suggested that white, working-class boys should be offered "positive discrimination" when applying for university places. Yet in all those decades when girls where underachieving, everyone assumed it was because they were "naturally inferior". Astonishing.
Other reasons besides an assumption that girls were "naturally inferior" have been given for girls' underachievement, so not sure "everyone assumed" it's because girls are "naturally inferior." Nonetheless, here, I know of no comprehensive proposal - let alone action - to address, partly because it's not grabbed enough attention. Lord knows people are capable of going beyond proposal and taking action. Texas, for example - quickly on the heels of the "no bullyining" campaign - enacted an over-broad anti-bullying law that people are now using to sue when their team loses games fair and square. Unintended consequence indeed.

Besides, seeing a group as "naturally inferior" is perfectly compatible with offering them positive discrimination. Creation of special spaces for the handicapped to park, for example.

I think the demise of guys is more about grown men than little school boys. My grandfather was fighting in WWII at sixteen. My Argentine exs grandfather was working for Eva Peron and married to the woman who is still his wife in his late teens. He ran away to Buenes Aires at fourteen...Andrew Carnegie ran the Pennsylvania division of the railway at eighteen...my ENTJ friend from Russia was living with his ex gf at seventeen and working in a factory, I met him at twenty four on a temporary work visa in the U.S.

Compare that to the average XBox player who lives with his mom and thinks women are a dreadful foreign species. Or the douche bag PUA guy who lives down the lane. Absent fathers. That's the demise of guys.

But that's also a demographic problem, other than laziness.

(I also don't think that at 18 you are likely to have enough experience to run a whole division of a railway, but that's besides the point)

I was alluding to this. And a rash of "end is nigh for men" books published the the last decade.

I suppose you prefer I claim to be an authority on all things internet then, since my claim to the contrary does not meet your definition of humility?

Who, then, would you recommend as a knowledgeable authority on how the internet and search engines operate? If what I reported from the sources I read is incorrect, I would like to read a more accurate accounting.

I guess the search auto-fill is computated by our individual locational grid?

I tried, Men don't deserve....rather than my original, Men do not deserve....and got:
    - rights
    - women

Throughout this thread this hasn't been made clear.
