Default Where do you get your news from?

Vote and Reply with specifics. List as many sources as you actually read on a regular basis. "yer mom" is not an acceptable source.
“Some people will tell you that slow is good – but I’m here to tell you that fast is better. I’ve always believed this, in spite of the trouble it’s caused me. Being shot out of a cannon will always be better than being squeezed out of a tube. That is why God made fast motorcycles, Bubba…”

I pretty much consider all sources, other than those that are obviously satirical. If something doesn't sound right, verify it, but discounting it because of who said it is foolishness.

I accidentally glance at the news articles on Yahoo, on my way over to my email inbox. I avoid the news whenever possible, because the brain can only tolerate so much misinformation before it begins to rot. Also, I don't care about the fact that Lindsey Lohan or whatever was spotted walking down the sidewalk yesterday. And I don't like reading about horrible things like evil men driving down the road and trying to run over sweet old ladies just for the fun of it.

If it were up to me, news would be completely abolished. It's the most powerful tool of manipulation anyone has ever invented, and watching the news makes it too easy to believe what you like instead of what is true.

Mostly aggregators. I have a few people I enjoy reading enough to specifically search them out.

If I had to list the number of publications I look at with any frequency, it would be a long list.

RealClearPolitics is good if someone is looking for a good smattering of whats going on.

For fairly even handed news I like, AP, Reuters, Politico, The Hill, The Economist, The American Conservative, The Atlantic.

CBS. I have to sneak out of formation to get to breakfast early, so I have time to watch it.

Mostly Yahoo on my way to my inbox. Sometimes I check to see if anything is funny or interesting on HuffPost, watch The Daily Show, Colbert, and/or Totally Biased. Sometimes stuff pops up on fb or twitter or a blog (usually related to genre fiction) I read. And sometimes I check out the website for one of the local network news stations or the local paper. My daughter says the fastest news is Tumblr, but I'm still learning how to use that.
“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”

I get most of my news from internet and radio. I check MSNBC and CNN every day, and follow up specific stories that are of interest. I listen to NPR and BBC on the radio as I drive around, and sometimes at home in the evening. It is always interesting to note the different perspective the non-US sources have, even in what stories they choose to cover.
I've been called a criminal, a terrorist, and a threat to the known universe. But everything you were told is a lie. The truth is, they've taken our freedom, our home, and our future. The time has come for all humanity to take a stand...
