    Default Democracy by lottery

    What if we replaced democracy by election of officials to public office with selection for office by lottery?

    I'm beginning to think that along with a couple of other key reforms this is much better than what exists presently.

    What sort of qualifications must a person have to be valid? Are you drawing from registered (on their own initiative) people or able citizens? It's harder for money to hedge their bets, I'll say that much.
