"But now marriage is left defenseless! All these gays are going to come in and destroy it, like barbarians sacking Rome."

"My wife was planning on making spaghetti for dinner tonight but now I have to divorce her and marry a dude or barnyard animal. Twenty three years of marriage ... poof."

"Well, thanks a lot gays. Now that married queers can file joint taxes, my marriage to a WOMAN is over. Hope you're happy. You wrecked it for all of us."

P.S. Go to Google and search for "gay". Pretty neat.

Which reminds me of Poe's Law:
Without a blatant display of humor, it is impossible to create a parody of extremism or fundamentalism that someone won't mistake for the real thing

    ... mommy, I'm scared.

Do I dare look? or wait, did Google do something to commemorate today?

EDIT: Bummer. Can't see it, I'm at work, we use an old version of IE here.

This is very upsetting. George Takei is not making puns about the pics he posts on Facebook anymore. Much less entertaining.

Google made the search bar rainbow-tastic to commemorate the day.

I just heard about this today! I'm so happy. I haven't had time to read about it yet, but I will for sure.

All the prerequisite teeth-gnashing from Beck & Co about how corrupt SCOTUS is and how the people should make the laws... although, uh, wasn't DOMA an attempt for government to make federal law to control state decisions and today's 5-4 decision was driven by returning control to the states and thus closer to the people? Sigh.

"The government should not be in the marriage business, period," Beck said on his syndicated radio show. "I do not get my value on marriage from the state—I get my value on marriage from God. ... You are about to lose your right to have your church say, 'I'm not going to marry homosexual couples.' Now, excuse me, but I have a right to practice my religion the way I see fit. What they're going to ask you to do is deny the bible."

States were stripped of their right to.. .. I dunno.. the right to not have to decide this issue for themselves?

Was your concept for a TV show rejected by all the networks you offered it too? That's a violation of state rights!

If something's upsetting to you, it must be a violation of state rights.
