Default Message to Media: Enough of "First Responders"

The fcukin "first responders" theme is spreading like wildfire through the media headlines. Now anybody can be a "first responder," not just those Boston bombing heroes. So now, whenever someone dials 911, even the cop who finally arrives on the scene 45 minutes later can be a "first responder" hero.

“Culture?” says Paul McCartney. “This isn't culture. It's just a good laugh.”

Why do you think that is?

See all that fits with the conservative Big Society (small government is the flip side they dont mention) idea that markets dont fail but informal or voluntary actions can fill any gaps that remain once the government finally disappears like wisps of smoke into a series of billionaire tax breaks.

If everyone is a "first responder" do you have to pay anyone to actually do it? Nope.
