You're less likely to be banned if you dont appear to be singling anyone out, plus its easier to attack people when you depersonalise them as a group or an institution, its how a lot of the anti-catholicism which remains endures, especially among otherwise bleeding heart liberal types, its OK to attack "them", ie roman catholics, because you're really attacking an "it", although its the same thing really.

I've not made much of a contribution to the thread to be honest, there was someone who said it's a diversion from self-reflection constantly attacking or targetting other things, extrenuous things.

Look friend I know all about the malice of bleeding heart liberals, I just got called a racist the other day by a man who apparently never took a sociology class in his life and became deeply offended that I suggested that racism and xenophobia are a feature of some cultures more than others, and that culture and ethnicity are indeed different from what is called race.

The kind of easy malice that some liberals express for Christianity they'd blithely excuse away for Islam, because that's the sexy thing to do.

I like that you think critically Lark, I mean you're a total freaking socialist and I think you get what I'm saying.

But look at it this way: Victor hates all organized religion equally. So he isn't singling out a particular group. I think in some way he may even be reliving some kind of personal trauma, I don't know.

We all have our pet causes. For example, your opinion of homosexuality. Let's try to excuse Victor of his, as long as he's not following you around and specifically trying to get you, as Lark, banned.

Its not really a pet cause and its linked in with the critical thinking. Of which people do very little. Particularly on topics like that one.

Lark is right though. Victor's is an exercise in mockery. He seeks to explain to your screen that your beliefs are empty. His proof is every other poster's inability to demonstrate how little he cares for the things he writes.

That's what the whole meet me as a person stuff is. You're supposed to disabuse him of his conceits.

Potentially I project. Fifty cents and a cigarette butt says we never, ever find out. The onus will remain with me forever.

    Unless i forget.

    Say, what was I saying?

Wrong. If you thought critically about homosexuality, you'd realize it happens in nature all the time. You'd also realize enough about things like hormones and the brain and so forth to realize people can't be "converted" from homosexuality.

But despite what I see as your irrational moral belief against homosexuality, I don't call you a troll, I manage to like and respect you, and I even know how and why you came to your conclusions and how pointless it would be to try to convince you otherwise.

    That's critical thinking, Lark.

That's a characture of my views Marm, an "anti-gay" straw man even, it bares very little resembalence to what my actual views are but they're all there on the forum if you want to look them up.

Meanwhile, back in Morocco, last Sunday, on the 5th of May, 2013, thousands of Moroccans protest paedophilia. Click on - http://www.alarab.co.uk/english/disp...202:40:09%20PM

How is this relevant to us?

This is a site devoted to the psyche - to the measurement of the psyche with mbti, and to the origins of the psyche in child rearing.

And we now know that nurturing child rearing tends to give us creative and empathic psyches; and we know that child abuse tends to give us bullies. So naturally we are in solidarity with the thousands of Moroccans who, just the other day, marched in Casablanca against paedophilia.

    Indeed.

And according to my own local sources, the majority of protesters were women. The same trend already happened last year with the protests held around the tragic Amina el Filali case.
Men protested in vast numbers during the Arab spring, but now women are doing the same, for their own causes.
Thus we can say more than ever that women are the future of the free Islamic world, and that relatively "liberal" countries like Morocco (politically speaking) are its laboratories.

    The Nuns and the Paedophiles

At the New South Wales Special Commission Of Inquiry into Child Abuse, Mr Grant, a former police officer, who tried to investigate child abuse in the Catholic Church, testified under oath, that a nun provided false evidence and tipped off the paedophile priest.

And in the documentary, "Mea Maxima Culpa: Silence in the House of God", we witness a nun vociferously defending a paedophile priest.

It's interesting: Australia's only saint is a nun, yet it is plain that paedophile rings couldn't have operated within the Church without the co-operation of the nuns.
