I'm sure some of them evaluate the cost in these scenarios, but their beliefs & influence [based on those] they hope to leave behind far outweigh any cost, & it's glorified as a sacrifice.
Nearly anything can be justifiable if you believe in something enough, I suppose.

Sometimes it's just lashing out in pain at the world. Targetless- just everyone is equally deserving of pain they themselves may feel they've endured.

If it was a domestic terrorist, the location of the attack could determined by the familiarity and convenience of the perpetrator, like with Oklahoma City. Of course, this is all baseless speculation.

Perhaps not but it should and at least potentially does, its a big part of the reason why its attacked by capitalist terrorists because consciously or unconsciously they want to defeat popular sovereignty in any sense other than consumer sovereignty which in any case is a lie.

Naturally Westboro Baptist Church plans to picket the funerals of those killed in the bombings. I hope the counter protesters drown them out/wall them out/nullify their efforts.

I also had never heard of Alex Jones until today. WTF nutter?

And it seems the bombs were made of pressure cookers hidden in backpacks and stuffed with harmful metal bits to maximize damage against bystanders.

So glad you Boston folks are alright. My heart bleeds nonetheless.

Look into his Youtube presence and you'll stumble into a hotbed of nutters.

The little I've seen is enough. But it galls me that news networks give this man "legitimacy" with airtime and interviews.

His following is expressive enough that taking him off the air would only give his conspiratorial thinking legitimate ammunition. And by legitimate, I mean persuasive enough that I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of it. If you give him airtime, it puts a "cap" on his influence, like Ron Paul's influence is mitigated by indirectly portraying him as that crazy uncle at a dinner party.
