I think so. I just saw a headline stating that a suspicious substance in a letter addressed to Obama was intercepted at the White House. Likelihood these ricin-doused letters relate to the bombings? It seems to be increasing. It's looking more like one or two isolated nutters with an anti-government agenda.
Update: It was an offsite sorting facility. They have also evacuated the Capitol as a precaution.

Authorities arrested a suspect Wednesday in the fatal bombings at the Boston Marathon, a federal law enforcement source told CNN's Fran Townsend.
Details about the suspect's identity and motive were not immediately available. News of the arrest was first reported by CNN.
Investigators identified the suspect based on two videos taken before Monday's attack, the federal law enforcement source told Townsend.
One of the videos was surveillance footage taken at the nearby Lord & Taylor department store, the other was shot by a Boston television station, a source who has has been briefed on the investigation exclusively told CNN's John King.
Edit: Maybe not--conflicting reports.

Right... I certainly find airport security to be particularly galling that way.
Still, if one considers the aim of terrorism to produce (mostly irrational) terror, then security theatre is arguably a means of anti-terrorism, even if it doesn't protect from actual attacks. (Not saying I like it, but can see some objective utility there, in a placebo-like fashion.)
We always had the airport security here, there was only a year or two that we didnt before nine eleven happened.
It wasnt the most draconian measure there was or the most inconvenient either.
Fearmongers will, inevitably, milk this event for all it's worth as a wedge to drive us further apart. Recall the tears you shed every other weekend dozens of victims are arbitrarily reduced to ant food overseas. We're probably more intelligent than given the opportunity to demonstrate, but the media has trained us from birth to react one of two ways to anything (in itself healthy, but you know where I'm going), reducing many to monkeys jumping through typology threads.
As a side, I think marathons kind of fall into that soon-to-be-antiquicized column (romanticized parading), along with human-piloted vehicles, unsafe sex, etc.
