Stabbing someone paralyzing them is harsh. Welp, if this were 200 B.C. then I'd say GAME ON!!

But it's not. I'm not sure.

He was just 14 when he did that. Less judgement capabilities should correspond to lighter sentences (if any), but he has already spent 10 years in jail, which is extremely rigid for a teenager.

Alternatively, it would be better to make him work and pay a percentage of his salaries to pay the amount required. Debilitating him just makes the problem bigger - the result would be two people with special needs for people to take care of. Frankly, it would be wiser to kill him.

He made a choice and that choice has consequences. So be it. (On a side note: If he stabbed his best friend, one can only imagine what he did to his enemies.)

    Clearly, wise, and superior culture.

These type of sentences are quite normal in Saudi.

    Seems fairly counterproductive.

    The OIC and Free Speech

Saudi Arabia is one of 57 Islamic nations of the Organisation of Islamic Co-operation (OIC).

And the OIC has openly and publicly rejected the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in favour of Sharia law.

And the OIC has made one failed attempt to ban free speech across the world at the United Nations. The OIC tried to make it an international crime to criticise Islam, but failed in their first attempt.

However as I write the OIC are having a second attempt to stifle free speech in line with Sharia law. The OIC are making a second attempt at the United Nations to make it an international crime to criticise Islam.
