War crimes are not rare and isolated cases in warfare.

I hope you aren't holding your breath.

I'd say my feelings on these matters are similar to yours. Assad is the Big Bad, to use a TV trope. But just because a group of people are fighting him does not automatically make them the Big Good, to use another trope.

Syria is engaged in a long and bloody war to replace the minority rulers with the majority. And this involves ethnic cleansing.

We see the same in Iraq where the majority Sunni are waging war to rid themselves of their minority rulers, the Shia. And accompanied by ethnic cleansing.

And we saw the same in Lebanon where the majority waged a long and bloody war against their minority rulers.

We see these same long bloody wars of the majority against the ruling minority in other colonial arab countries, and accompanied by ethnic cleansing.

Don't forget, Iran did the same thing too.

If you really wanted an acceptable "American" outcome in the middle east, you'd let these two duke it out.. and even plant ways to exacerbate it. Then sit on the sidelines.

Instead, we take the Leeroy Jenkins approach (or the deluded Lawrence of Arabia approach).

They are unless you're watching the liberal media.

Let's not split hairs here. If you really think Saddam Hussein was good for Iraq then just say so and we can go from there.

If you're going to make stuff up please don't post here. Or in this forum for that matter. There's enough of that already. An opinion is fine but when you start using numbers, people tend to assume they're statistically accurate.

You should read wikileaks archives. It's neither liberal or conservative (motivations for the existence of those type of sites are liberal, but the content isn't obviously).

    I don't understand your comment.

Are you saying the invasion was good for Iraq or the US?
