Ouch. That seemed pretty condescending to me.

Do you think that this woman ever stopped to remember that voting for someone because of the color of his skin is the definition of racist? Or maybe she doesn't even know that it's racist?

It looked like she was pretty sure voting for Obama made her not a racist. Again, I say, ouch.

    We're all racist.

Eh. I'd say that as humans we're all prejudiced, which isn't really a big deal. But as soon as you let those prejudices determine how you act and interact, then it becomes a problem.

I suppose trash-talking is just part of human nature.

You might be right that it meets some definition of "racist" (or even all definitions) but it ignores the motivation behind action. It's the same reason affirmative action is a sticky issue. I'm not choosing to weigh in on the issue since I see both sides and both sides have issues, but using race as a means of making decisions or analyzing problems to assist people shouldn't be cast into the same category as KKK members whose aim is to use race to destroy.

I hate it when people use the equivocation technique of arbitrary redefinition to make a word like "racism" so vague that it becomes meaningless.

I might as well argue that I'm a "capitalist" simply because I use money.
