    I dont think its overpopulation that's a problem and I'm not a fan of primitivism either which I think tribalism is. The problem is that the history of heretofore known societies is the history of class struggles.

    I'd agree with you that humankind should be able to learn from the past and history, there's funny episode of Old Harry's Game in which a scientist in hell is permitted by the devil to speak to all of history's great men and thinkers and Karl Marx is protrayed saying the same thing, ol' Marx is just an enlightenment progressive believing there's a logical and rational learning from history in mankinds make up. Then he meets Stalin and discovers what happened after he died. There's a punch up

    Check this out instead.

    I'm actually more inclined towards institutional or cultural explanations than Marxism but this guy is persuasive. The cartoonists format is cool, there's some nice other talks on there too, one about empathy and human mind is interesting too.
