Forget Javier's character...I found Bond's interactions with Q to be much more flirtatiously gay.

    I find may-December romances offensive.

It amuses me that you of all people are familiar with that term. I had to look it up.

I'm pretty sure Q's a bottom in this movie.

Oddly, the actor (Ben Whishaw) also just played a flamboyant gay composer in Cloud Atlas.

Yeah, he also played the ever-so-slightly gay Sebastian in that latest adaptation of Brideshead.

I've heard he also made a deal with a devil to make his pregnant wife go away, because married superheroes are boring, or something. Apparently, Quesada thought that was more family-friendly than just killing Mary Jane off. Yeah, I'm in no hurry to read comics again (except maybe for Punisher).

As for Bond, a gay (or even a bisexual) Bond just doesn't fit the established character.....it would be better to just create a new bad-ass gay/bisexual character, like Captain Harkness.

I usually end up watching Bond movies because friends want to see them- but I’d go out of my way to see bi Craig-Bond. Several times. Craig is my favorite James Bond so far.

I have to say... I didn't get it. I was aware that at times the actor is attractive, more for what he does than for how he looks or whom he may or may not bang for apparently 2s in a shower.
This always puzzled me too, I never quite understood the allure. I always liked the cloak and daggerness of the movies, and Q and Q’s toys- but never thought any of the Bonds were very impressive. I’ve read that Patrick McGoohan was originally asked to be the first James Bond (he’d just finished the Secret Agent Man series) but he turned it down because he thought James Bond was too misogynistic. He went on to play number 6 in The Prisoner instead.
