It looks like we might have our first cases of marriage equality being approved by American voters, rather than simply being mandated by certain state courts:
- Maryland: 84% reporting, marriage equality ahead by 3%.
- Maine: 40% reporting, marriage equality ahead by 4%.
- Minnesota: 37% reporting, voting to NOT ban same-sex marriage is ahead by 2.5%
- Washington: 50% reporting, marriage equality ahead by 3.6%.
This is a pretty big deal. All four initiatives look like they will pass in a way that favors same-sex marriage.
