Aw man...I totally miss preparing for storms like this.

How the hell do you prepare for an earthquake?

I'm not concerned about direct damage from the storm itself. I've been through much stronger hurricanes when I used to live in south Florida. What concerns me is how inept PEPCO is (I live in College Park). I fully expect my power to be out for at least a week.
"We grow up thinking that beliefs are something to be proud of, but they're really nothing but opinions one refuses to reconsider. Beliefs are easy. The stronger your beliefs are, the less open you are to growth and wisdom, because "strength of belief" is only the intensity with which you resist questioning yourself. As soon as you are proud of a belief, as soon as you think it adds something to who you are, then you've made it a part of your ego."

Here's the "storm" at 1pm today. Not much to see at this point but continuous rain....

However, it's 4pm and I'm going for a walk with my camera. I'll post an update later.

To trace the remote in the immediate; the eternal in the ephemeral; the past in the present; the infinite in the finite; these are to me the springs of delight and beauty.” ~ H.P. Lovecraft

Odd statement when it hasn't even come on-shore yet.

And you haven't even experienced the half of it yet.
