In a half hour, they'll start releasing preliminary exit polls; this is probably a good time to note, especially for the benefit of voters who were not around for 2004, that exit polls-especially early exit polls-are practically worthless in terms of predicting electoral outcomes-they are intended primarily to explain, not predict.

The real poll is a tally of who thinks the exit pole data WILL be indicative of the winner, because that tells us just how many voters are morons...

If you prevent 50 fraudulent votes from being cast at the cost of 1000 legitimate votes, is it then worth it?

Heh. I was going to post something about the election still being 'too close to call' after that New Hampshire 'town' released its 5-5 results, but then I forgot about it.

It's true, Obama commands an overwhelming percentage of the sandal-wearing vote.

You've been talking to firemen to get information about the metal beams they slide down to reach their trucks?

(Have you ever seen a poll dancer, btw? Their moves are pretty much all by the numbers.... well, statistically speaking.)
