Default Holy shit! Gaffes from the left!!

Here at TypoC, we're not completely biased.

Just as Santorum's gaffe was regarded as illuminating the mindset of all Republicans, all the time, so too is this gaffe being interpreted by some as a representation of how morally depraved and sex-crazed Democrats are.

In short, everyone makes a big deal out of everything, all the time. It's still hilarious, though:
Things went from bad to worse for Jill Biden on Friday after accidentally cracking a joke about her husband's manhood.

Captured on video, this is the moment the Second Lady lost her cool at a New Hampshire campaign event, giggling like a schoolgirl as the crowd roared with delight.

Passionately describing Mr Biden's work ethic she began: 'I've seen Joe up close,' making a wide motion with her hands, before blushing as she realised the innuendo she had just made.

'It's in my remarks, really,' she insisted.

A wave of amused titters swept the audience, Mrs Biden allowing herself an embarrassed chuckle, but she quickly recovered and persevered, her husband nodding encouragingly behind her, a self-satisfied grin spread across his face.

    It didn't stop there, however.

Having planted the seed, every sentence seemed laden with sexual reference, so much so that Mrs Biden was barely able to continue as spectators fell apart were uncontrollable laughter.

The Second Lady's description of Mr Biden's 'big, strong heart' was no longer as innocent as intended and by the time she got to revealing how she has 'heard the urgency in his voice when he comes and talks to people' she was almost drowned out by delighted whooping from the crowd.

And as she fought the urge to laugh, Mrs Biden made a badly-timed pause after the word 'comes', which only added to the hilarity.

Mrs Biden's slip-up came as her husband made his own campaign trail faux pas, addressing around 100 high school athletes at Newport High School.

Getting into character with a football cradled beneath his arm the Vice President discussed students' favourite sports as they stood before him in their various team kits.

Turning to a group of cheerleaders he proclaimed them to be the best athletes in college, the Daily Caller reported.

'You think, I’m joking,' he quipped. 'They’re almost all gymnasts, the stuff they do on hard wood, it blows my mind.'
So, depending on your political leanings, let's either laugh, scoff at all Democrats, or defend the Bidens' remarks until we die.

    I choose to laugh.

Wow -- as much of a horndog as Bill Clinton... just without the charisma.

Hahahah! I wouldn't have interpreted any of those remarks as sexual (except the hard wood one, maybe) with out the precedent being set, but it's actually kind of refreshing that Mrs Biden was able to laugh along with those silly sex-crazed democrats in her audience.
Masquerading as a normal person day after day is exhausting.

To be serious about this not very serious topic, I don't think this is at all comparable to the so-called gaffes of Romney and Santorum that have been discussed here.

This is all inuendo, nothing plain and explicit.
This doesn't have any relevance to policy or a mode of government.
This doesn't seem to confirm negative stereotypes about a party platform.

This is something people giggle about.

As people have already said, Obama's past statement about guns and religion would come closer to an example of the left making such a gaffe, though still not quite.
    Go to sleep, iguana.

bill clinton - apparently still going at it, ostensibly flirting with that sandra fluke. additionally, lewinsky is set to come out with a second autobiography detailing her affair with clinton; apparently there were such things as orgies... not sure how much of that i actually believe, and how much is just lewinsky insanity/attention whoring.
anthony weiner - seriously, what kind of senator shows their dick on the internet to anyone?
biden - arguable, but... i mean there's a wealth of innuendo and inappropriate behavior.
JFK - most notably marilyn monroe, but his full resume is too full to list.
lyndon b. johnson - illegitimate son named steven.
FDR - 30 year affair with lucy mercer.

this is all i can think of right now.
i'm sure it's not the whole list.

This is all inuendo, nothing plain and explicit.
    and now it's not.

neither do any of the gaffes the media clamors about coming out of the right wing.

    see above.

can we get back to the hilarity, please?

Did you guys see the news story about Madonna? With friends like her, who needs enemies? I hope she doesn't try to do Obama any more favors... and that someone makes her keep her damn underpants on.

Eh. When celebrities/non-politicians do these things, I just assume that they are either dumb or bought by the opposition to look dumb. Or both.
