That is just so slimy. If somebody cheats at the established rules of chess they don't get to just ignore the dissent from their opponent in the name of "shifting the narrative." The democratic process is being completely undermined by this kind of farce.

I'll stop trying to explain a game that only makes sense to those who've played.

Then again, it was already undermined and continues to be undermined by efforts to keep minority and low-income voters from even getting to exercise their right to vote. Not sure why I expected better.

I don't doubt corruption makes sense once you're initiated into the game. That is the whole problem with politics in the U.S. right now. Slime, corruption, and underhanded tactics are just "playing the game."

You keep replying, for some reason.

In any case, I appreciate the RNC for making the national narrative about a possibly drunk old actor talking to an empty chair instead of Wooden Lord Fauntleroy's shitty speech.

The only war we are fighting now concludes in November. There is a time and a place to debate these kind of internal issues.

That time is not on TV in front of the entire fucking nation in the middle of a presidential campaign. They did what they had to shift the narrative from issues at the convention to how the Republican party is articulating its plan for the future.

This shit is chess... not checkers.
    Are you kidding me?

This wasn't something that happened one time to avoid embarrassment. This was the culmination of cheating at the district and state level that had been going on for months. Paul had the delegates to be nominated and he was robbed openly in front of America.

The real problem here is the centralization of power moving forward with the rule changes and the reality that grassroots efforts will be thwarted by 10 men at the top of the RNC. It's a move away from the principles of a republic and toward the despotism of a democracy.

The ironic thing is the more you move toward democracy and away from a republic style of party government the more relevant you make the media.
