Very brave man who constantly risked his life for what he believed in. Always shunned the adulation. Now at peace where he belongs.

    Why sad?

The chances of him dying were 100%!

Still, he was a good example of what life can be.

    If anything, I'd applaud.

    The Amphibian

When Neil put his foot on the Moon, he turned the camera around and discovered our environment.

Yes, Neil pointed his camera back at the Earth and we all saw the environment in which we are born, live and die.

In fact seeing our environment from the Moon was such a shock, we made a religion of the environment and now only write 'the environment' with a capital 'E' for Environment. And we have even created a godess of the Environment called Gaia.

Neil is famous for standing on the Moon for the first time, but in fact he discovered the environment from which he had come.

And this is only natural as all environments are invisible until we leave them and look back. For instance, it wasn't fish that discovered water, it was amphibians who had the advantage, like Neil, of looking back and discovering the invisible environment from which they had come.

    So Neil is our amphibian.

And just as amphibian fish left the water for the air, Neil left the air for space.
