    I'm not opposed to the death penalty, some people don't deserve to live on the people's taxes for the crimes they committed. But I am unwilling to allow the death penalty to be used with all its current flaws.

    No. But where does one draw the line? I don't trust politicians and reactionary stupid people.

    Neither serial killer denied the murder allegations. They just pled not guilty for reasons of insanity or self-defense.

    Plea deals usually take death off the table.

    They weren't plea bargains in either case. These were their pleas which were both tossed, the judges/juries finding them guilty of assorted counts of murder, sane and not in self-defense.
