I still am unsure of how this choice helps/hinders Romney.

I do think it is likely they now lose Florida, and Romney can't afford to lose battleground states.

I think we're gonna take Florida (regardless of Rubio), provided Romney and Ryan have a clear plan to move forward that doesn't kill us with the medicare vote, and the debates go well.

I don't think Romney made his pick based on electoral college predictions.

We're currently getting killed in the national media conversation.

The next step is an aggressive step to define the pair.

Saying it needs to be handled with finesse is the understatement of the century.

Your use of pronouns is interesting. I don't understand how anyone can feel that sort of connection with any political candidate or party.
"We grow up thinking that beliefs are something to be proud of, but they're really nothing but opinions one refuses to reconsider. Beliefs are easy. The stronger your beliefs are, the less open you are to growth and wisdom, because "strength of belief" is only the intensity with which you resist questioning yourself. As soon as you are proud of a belief, as soon as you think it adds something to who you are, then you've made it a part of your ego."

I can understand how someone who has never committed blood sweat and tears to a campaign wouldn't get it.

Yeah, I could see that if you actually were working the campaign actively. It's a lot different than just debating on a forum or armchair-debating politics.

I think his point was that he doesn't understand why you would be working for a campaign in the first place, as it is hard to identify enough with any of the prevailing political parties to summon up the will to do so.

After I left law school it tooks me months of deliberation to decide which side to pursue.

    It's a matter of prioritizing.

What do you care about more financial or social issues.

I care about financial issues more.

What if you care about both but find that neither of our sanctioned political options satisfactorily encompasses your views?

I think old polls actually showed majority support among seniors for the Ryan plan.
