I just heard that this was officially a successful landing.

    Plug in and watch!
I had to watch it on tv.

I had found the link somewhere online and started watching nasatv 40 minutes before the landing. But the video kept starting and stopping. I watched a youtube video in 360p with no such problems.

About 10 minutes before the landing I decided to try opening and closing my browser. But then of course I couldn't get back on the nasa server. It was nicer to watch on a big screen anyway.

That's a pretty enormous feat, with a large room for error.. not to mention it takes hundreds of people and in this case 8 years of work.. and it could all go to crap in 7 minutes. The anxiety and crying is understandable.
