Yep. This will more than likely be the straw that broke the camel's back.
Either way, firearms aren't difficult to acquire, legal or otherwise.

    What a mess.

There is no solution for insanity, it just happens and you pick up the pieces afterward. The same thing could have been done in a movie theater with a sharp enough stick.
    Whoops.

    We're living it, folks.
I usually try to avoid generalizations like this, but, sadly, I can't help but kind of agree.

Columbine seemed to have marked some sort of start of this shit.

Really, though, it's happened throughout human history.

And it happens all over the world.

It would be nice if this were to happen, as fame and notoriety is one of their primary motives, but it is impossible; this simply will not happen.

The dark sides of our nature are far too intrigued by these events, and the media can't help but feed that need.

    Uhhh... yeah.

    This.

    Human violence is an inevitability.

    There is no escaping this.
It is encoded in our DNA.
    And, unfortunately, this.

    It's not an inevitability.

But I have little faith that the entirety of mankind can be made to be better than the lower parts of our nature.

The psychology of these people is sad.

They all seem to feel so alienated, that their deep desire to feel connected with others seems to combine with their feelings of hatred that they feel no other way to be connected with others than to do something like commit an atrocity like this (I'm not saying every atrocity is committed because of this particular dynamic, but it does seem to be a common motive [whether conscious or not], imo).

If anything, I think the rise in these attacks is a sign of the widespread mental unhealth of the modern world.

    Let's be real here.

As @Jennifer said: an extremely small % of humans do something like this.

    I don't think that's true at all.

There are plenty of amazing hero stories.

We just hear about the tragedies a lot more than the heroics.

Don't try to reason with the gun control freaks.

They're clearly immune to it.Those were all separate incidents.

And that was just the summer of 2010.

These kinds of attacks are rather common in various Asian countries.

I would think there are more than one point, the guy was clearly suffering from extremely low self etsteem and possibly other MH issues.... It does not mean that the gun law in this country does not facilate those freaks to access to fire arms to take revenage against the rest of the society ??
