Brazil has pretty strict gun laws and yet this still happened a while ago:
A gunman prowled the halls of an elementary school in Rio de Janeiro on Thursday and killed 12 children, lining them up against a wall and shooting them in the head at point-blank range as he shouted, "I'm going to kill you all!"
It was the worst school shooting in Brazil, and would have been deadlier had the gunman not been shot in the legs by a police officer, who said the man then fell down some stairs and shot himself in the head.
its always been like this and weapons will always find their way into the hands of the people who should not have them.
So, since "it has always been like that", are you suggesitng nothing, absolutely nothing can be done to change the gun law???
I am mindful of the fact that we live in less than perfect world so, how about to do whatever possible that those less than perfect psychos have a harder time harming the innocents-or is it just too late ???
So, since "it has always been like that", are you suggesitng noting, absolutely nothing can be done to change the gun law???
no, there are things that can be done to make it less of a possibility, just never truly completely block these events from occurring. removing the right to bare arms is unnecessary and won`t change much but create situations with more victims. when the authorities are not around, you pretty much are your own protector.
"I'm not in this world to live up to your expectations and you're not in this world to live up to mine. "
Yep, more gun legislation will definitely make all of the criminals turn their guns in. Then we'll all walk toward the candy kingdom in the sunset holding hands.
It is easrier to be passive and certainly you would sound more logial and realistic remaining pessimistic,..but the question remains WHAT IS THE SOLUTION? not to eliminate senseless murders but perhaps limiting them???
