    Default Bane-Bain

I don't know whether to put this in entertainment or politics/current-events section.

Rush Limbaugh believes that Bane, from the The Dark Knight Rises, is a conspiracy against Romney (video in link, possible spoilers?) Considering how Bain is a homophone of Bane... anyhow.

So, if you are a Romney fan, don't watch(and keep your children far away from) The Dark Knight Rises because it is conspiring against Romney.

A person spouting such ignorant bullshit should not have enough of an audience to become news himself.

Why do people even listen to this clown?

It is only a homophone when not pronounced properly

Uh, it was the democrats that started making these analogies to attack Romney.

"It has been observed that movies can reflect the national mood," said Democratic advisor and former Clinton aide Christopher Lehane. "Whether it is spelled Bain and being put out by the Obama campaign or Bane and being out by Hollywood, the narratives are similar: a highly intelligent villain with offshore interests and a past both are seeking to cover up who had a powerful father and is set on pillaging society," he added.

This is not about analogies and comparisons that can be made. It is one thing to say that you look like Jerry Falwell and another thing to say that your parents created and named you Jairy so that people would recognize the likeness in you. Also, not 'the democrats' but one guy.

That's a worst analogy than Lehane came up with.

What foundation do you base this assessment on? Is there a pertinent principle in the Bible?

A coworker told me about this. If you know Rush, you know he's doing this for publicity, and he sorely needs it. But, my comment to the coworker was, "What kind of person thinks so little of his Republican listeners that he pawns this crap on them. Is he a Democrat?"

Do I need to list all the verses that speak to the importance of truth?

Not, but those that speak to the quality of analogies - in a PM, perhaps.
