on the one hand, i guess the old man's actions aren't condemn-able.
on the other, if i'm a robber, and i get shot at, i might do something stupid like shoot back.
the point is not to kill a person, but to get the money.
the man is putting himself in danger, also, putting others in danger.
i can't decide if it is better to react to the video with a call for stricter gun control laws, or if this shows that gun control laws are fine the way they are, currently.

Gun-lovers remind me of last-word-fanatics --people that insist on ending the discussion by upping the ante... the problem with that is if everyone is trying to end the discussion on their own note, the desired de-escalation never takes place.

He probably only grazed them and once or twice. Hand guns, shot at moving targets really aren't that accurate. I'd assume less accurate when shot by a senior citizen as well.

Are you just generalizing, or is this sentiment based off of the video? Who says the man that concealed carry is a gun-loving, fanatic? As this video alone illustrates, there are many times when it is because of responsible citizens that conceal carry, that tragic incidents do not take place or the damage is subdued much more quickly than it otherwise would have.

At those distances its easy to hit from the hip when you aim at center mass.

P.S. those falls in the video were hilarious. Love when scumbag criminals get their chance to feel the fear that they inflict on others.

I'm generalizing, but it still applies. He's not psychic. What if they'd fired back?
