I look around. No one.
In the middle of nowhere, granted, yet for sure people can be here. They consciously choose not to be.
I go to the city. Hardly anyone. People not interacting with others. Everyone living their own lives. The streams of human interaction are no longer physical, but technological.
I'm on my phone. I could text many people. I could call them. I could log onto facebook and see what is going on with them. They are available to me...but they aren't. They are just people I know technologically.
And in the immediate, I know no one. How can I? There is no one to know!
Ironically, with this problem I go to yet another group of technological strangers.
Wait, I see someone. A male. Walking briskly by. Plugged in, listening to his music. Ironic.
It's all really dissatisfying.
