Well damn. Why didn't anyone else think of that? Maybe you should give a lecture?
You better pony up the dough and pay me for it.

Alternatively, you could stop embarrassing yourself with further shocking displays of ignorance.

In fact, some would claim that it is "shocking".

Second life is for chatroom addicts. It's not even a game. Games, at their most essential definition, require some kind of challenge with pattern recognition. Stuff like Second Life is there for people who need a social outlet. There's not much else to do than that. You and I are cool @Salomé, but I have to wonder if you even understand gamers if you're dishing out retorts like that.

Second Life! Does anyone even play that anymore?

Personally, I don't know anyone who ever played it. Kind of had a reputation for being the internet hangout of psychopaths and juggalos. And I know people who aspire to be professional "gamers," so...

Honestly, I think it got more attention from people in my grad program who wanted to study useless "media culture" shit than it ever did among any of the kids I knew who considered themselves gamers (of the FpS and StarCraft variety, which are probably the two biggest scenes anyway.) These same people would have the nerve to announce to a room full of academics that they studied "the visual rhetoric of video games, particularly Fallout" whilst simultaneously not being able to answer the simple question of "oh, how interesting...which systems can you play Fallout on?"

I can't wait till marm's ban is lifted
For all that we have done, as a civilization, as individuals, the universe is not stable, and nor is any single thing within it. Stars consume themselves, the universe itself rushes apart, and we ourselves are composed of matter in constant flux. Colonies of cells in temporary alliance, replicating and decaying and housed within, an incandescent cloud of electrical impulses. This is reality, this is self knowledge, and the perception of it will, of course, make you dizzy.

The Office used to be funny. I recommend watching seasons 1-6. It went downhill from there.

Cool. Now I know what Second Life is.
I feel so enriched right now.

Apologies for the crude comments made earlier.

But I, similar to my brethren of the digital era, am in decline.
Either way, I meant every word of it.
