I really don't think it has anything to do with political party.

Obama seems to be a pretty polarizing president, I haven't met too many people who are indifferent to him. People seem to either love him or hate him, and that may have something to do with it. I really don't know.
I feel like Obama is, in reality, incredibly and disappointingly (to me) moderate. It seems *weird* to me how much he is loathed on the right (and in such irrational ways--there are legitimate reasons to object to him from the left AND the right, but the people who HATEHATEHATE him are just fucking insane about it).

But anyway--if I were a reporter, I'd wait til the president finishes because it's a matter of respect. For the same reason, I'd wait until a homeless person finished saying what he had to say if I were reporting on homelessness. It shocks me how *rude* people are to each other.

I don't care who the president is.

    They should not be interrupted.

It's rude and asinine, but it could have been worse and way more embarrassing.

I could not agree more. I wasn't terribly pleased when President Obama went on the Daily Show, and Jon Stewart called him "dude".

Then again, I'm old school like that.

Eh, who cares? He's a public servant, and not an emperor or king. Probably serves him, and the office for that matter, well to get knocked down a peg or two by an ordinary citizen.
