Default World of Warcraft Breeds Real Life Killers!

"Killer played WOW for 7 hours a day"

Anders Breivik, the right-wing extremist who has confessed to killing 77 people during a murder spree in Norway last summer, played the violent computer game World of Warcraft nearly seven hours a day for several consecutive months before his attack, prosecutors say.

    ...

According to prosecutors, Breivik played Warcraft under the aliases "Andersnordic" and "Conservatism."

    ...

"He does not seem to be very successful at distinguishing between the virtual reality of 'World of Warcraft' and other video games and reality," Eriksen said.

I've been saying that for a while now! Everyone who plays a video game is automatically turned into a killer! They brainwash our children to become communist-nazi-zombie-robot-murderers! The games must be stopped!

    Hm I'm not sure.

But I have a revolutionary new idea that killers also listen to music and know what the moon is.....I'm not too sure though.

A trial is no place to ridicule a person's ideology, and the ridiculous behaviour of the prosecution is making Breivik out to be the only sane one in the room. They're trying so hard to discredit him and doing it so badly that it's almost painful to watch. From what I can tell, this guy is as rational as they get, and simply believes that what he did was necessary. Further from that, he is willing to accept the consequences of his actions. What's so hard about a trial based on the merits of the case?

If I play Psychonauts, will I eventually become a therapist?

Maybe if he hadn't played WoW, he would have mass-murdered children five years ago. Likely it was a socially acceptable way to express his frustration... although WoW is no Call of Duty or Half-Life.

Mmmmm. Psychonauts -> Tim Schafer -> Grim Fandango.

    WoW is a joke.
Perhaps if he were exposed to (really) violent games, his desire for blood would have been satiated.
