    Default Ray Bradbury has Died

One of the greats. Loved reading his books.

In a recent issue of the New Yorker, Bradbury wrote about discovering science fiction stories as a child growing up in Illinois. "I would go out to that lawn on summer nights and reach up to the red light of Mars and say, "Take me home!" I yearned to fly away and land there in the strange dusts that blew over dead-sea bottoms toward the ancient cities," he wrote.

Wow. I feel like all the old greats have been dropping off over the last year or two. Is the thought of a Romney presidency that terrifying?

“Pleasure to me is wonder—the unexplored, the unexpected, the thing that is hidden and the changeless thing that lurks behind superficial mutability. To trace the remote in the immediate; the eternal in the ephemeral; the past in the present; the infinite in the finite; these are to me the springs of delight and beauty.” ~ H.P. Lovecraft

That makes me sad, he is not far from being favorite author. He accomplished much.

Not related to Bradbury, but something that Bill Murray (allegedly) tweeted
"20 years ago we had Johnny Cash, Bob Hope, Steve Jobs. Now it's no Cash, no Hope, no Jobs. Please don't let Kevin Bacon die." - Bill Murray
