If you weren't, then you wouldn't care and you wouldn't feel it was "social engineering."

Are you really proposing the argument that there is no agenda to DC doing this? Interesting.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not going to lose sleep or write my congressman but I think it's stupid, and arbitrary because I see it for what it is.

Let me rephrase my last statement then.

"If you weren't, then you wouldn't care and you wouldn't feel it was a threatening type of 'social engineering.'"

I don't doubt that the author did it as a kind of "let's diversify" move, but the point is that (1) there's nothing wrong with that motivation and (2) you'd claim "social engineering" whether that was the motivation or not.

Your problem is that you think "seeing it for what it is" necessitates a negative reaction, when really you in particular feel negatively towards it because you don't like the "agenda." That's what I meant when I asked you to be honest.

Social engineering? I think they're just trying to create a more diverse fan base for $$$$
For all that we have done, as a civilization, as individuals, the universe is not stable, and nor is any single thing within it. Stars consume themselves, the universe itself rushes apart, and we ourselves are composed of matter in constant flux. Colonies of cells in temporary alliance, replicating and decaying and housed within, an incandescent cloud of electrical impulses. This is reality, this is self knowledge, and the perception of it will, of course, make you dizzy.
