    I know guy. Change is really, super hard to accept sometimes. We've all been the one dragged kicking and screaming at some point in our lives.

    Why is there even an issue with her competing?

    1. Her genetics does not give her a competitive advantage.
    2. Her presence does not cost Trump any money. In fact, his show gets some free publicity.
    3. It's just a beauty contest. Society won't collapse.

    The issue is that he's not a woman, and the enforcement done to make accept his candidature.

    For the good of society, we do not allow discrimination based on arbitrary characteristics of no consequence. What would be the negative consequence here?

    I find it pretty awesome than a transgender person can attend Miss Universe competition.
    I think she looks pretty awesome. More beautiful than most people in general (men and women).

    This is an issue which is one of those gray areas. My opinion on the whole issue doesn't matter.

    My opinion is simple: a beauty pageant should not be forced by any legal document to admit in a competition someone they don't want, in pariculary someone they don't consider as a true woman.

    Others say "but-but YES we must force them to admit it!" They are peoples who try to impose their views.

    Some try to legitimate that kind of attitude, but Jennifer failed to legitimise it with some sort of logical arguments. Maybe someone else will achieve where she failed. I'm opened to every reasonable arguments. But I think it's unlikely to happen.

    @Speed Gavroche
    Why are you so upset about this? You are deeply invested past the point of objectivity, and project onto others many of the fallacies you are committing yourself in your arguments. What do you personally lose if a transgendered woman is accepted into a beauty pageant?

    The legal standing of an individual does need to be legitimizing for them to function in society. If the pageant is a private industry and they can fight it legally and that is important to them, then I suspect they will do this. The reason we have laws (which are often flawed, but still provide some stability and justice) is to create a sense of order, consensus, and the ability to function. This is important for personal identity and it makes sense for a legal definition to be respected and treated consistently in a society, except for certain privatized institutions that disregard equality and can legally discriminate and show preferential treatment based on their personal ideologies.
