the nice thing is, the more free market the society, the more opportunities to rise out of poverty and the more potential for growth. take the free market of the internet for example, it has taken thousands of people from homeless to millionaire (and even billionaire) and is continuing to grow at over 30% a year.
that test had you right, I think you are a libertarian in the making

That is true, and I would shudder at the thought of a government controlled internet (or any controlled internet; it should belong to the people, not the government nor corporations).

Hehe, well at least a left-leaning libertarian in that case (I'm too much of a bleeding-heart to be right wing)

91-130 points: You have entered the heady realm of hard-core libertarianism. Now doesn't that make you feel worse that you didn't get a perfect score?

I'm actually a minarchist. Some amount state is necessary, but only for defense of our nation and for public order, law enforcement, judicial systems, etc. Anything beyond law enforcement, legal systems, and simple services such as fire departments are superfluous.

That said, I don't believe we shouldn't have them. I think public universities and public schools are wonderful, and I think it's great that states can coordinate welfare systems. But those aren't requirements, those are things we should only do if we have the money to spend. Basically, if we follow a strict diet and want to eat a little cake, we should allow ourselves the cake.

But that doesn't mean we should have the entire cake. Responsible moderation, and only if it's something people want. It's not something that should be written into our diets. The point isn't to figure out a diet that's built around a slice of cake. We should only allow ourselves the slice of cake when we have the calories left over to spend.

If that were the case, I'd be scoring off the charts.
