Love and Hate and Growing Up

You do know, Nebbykoo, that there is no love without hatred, but normally we hide this from ourselves.

For instance, we love and hate our mother, but usually we hide the hatred in the interests of our survival.

In fact our society is devoted to hiding our hatred of authority figures and it is usually only in therapy that we discover we hate our mother as well as love her.

And even further hidden is the fact that our mother not only loved us, but hated us as well.

And so we remain infantile wallowing in the never ending love of God, until we stumble into Central and start to grow up.

So much of this is worthy of hate. A little of love.

Just a little love like a dove taking flight. There's the flutter of wings, the bright eye, then the whole world opens up.

You use the natural world as metaphor for love.

Sometimes this is true. Sometimes the world is seem through hateful eyes. It depends on the conditions you begin with.
