Default Something only a Republican would do...

I can't stand either party, but Republicans, as a group, are clearly dumber.

How can an elected Republican official actually believe what is reported on the Onion? Whether you knew it was a real news source or not, shouldn't the idea of an "Abortionplex" cause you to do a double-take and seek out more information?
"We grow up thinking that beliefs are something to be proud of, but they're really nothing but opinions one refuses to reconsider. Beliefs are easy. The stronger your beliefs are, the less open you are to growth and wisdom, because "strength of belief" is only the intensity with which you resist questioning yourself. As soon as you are proud of a belief, as soon as you think it adds something to who you are, then you've made it a part of your ego."

Personally, I think political parties in general (or at least the idea that you can sum up political views into two parties) are a joke. No elected official, regardless of party alignment, is immune to stupidity(and the stereotypes that follow party alignment are annoying to be honest). At their best you end up with elected officials clearly contradicting themselves (Whether this is stupidity, or just being two-faced is somewhat contextual), at their worst you end up with people doing things like believing in "abortionplexes" etc. At least the government provides a good laugh from time to time.

Apparently stupidity makes you popular with US voters, it worked big time in favour of George Bush.

This guy gets to vote on things like the budget and SOPA. Our country is fucked.
