    I only say so because the BBC did a lot of research and coverage on this point following Bush's much publicised stumbling speeches etc.

    There were pundits, focus groups and voters who all testified that they trusted the "dumb guy" because they believed that he wasnt going to hatch plans to make the government totalitarian or anything of that sort, so what if he and his buddies were on the take for quadrillions, the US electorate expected that from politicians.
