Could a person kill another person and be good at the same time, in the same universe?

Does the act of killing determine whether a person is good or evil?

It's a simple question to answer.

Today in 2012 an acceptable religion accepts liberal democracy and the rule of law.

And in particular a religion is moral if its first principle is universality. In other words the moral code applies equally to all.

For instance the Roman Catholic Church broke these principles when they obstructed justice in regard to pererasty. However they have repented and now take part in the prosecution of pederasts.

And fifty seven Islamic States have rejected the moral principle of universality in favour of Sharia. And have not repented.

So a good religion is acceptable to liberal democracy and the rule of law.

I think the use/existence of the term murder goes a long way towards making something with large grey areas appear black and white.

Well the existence of a single shared language with common meanings and understandings does go some distance to ruining all the individualistic, subjectivist and Nietzsche lite BS.

Alright. Let me make my point more clear, then.

People always use the murder argument to avoid discussion of ethical subjectivity because they think murder is something that is unquestionably bad. Murder doesn't have anything to do with good and bad. It's only relationship is with the law.

Yes, but I don't know who they are nor what you mean by that.
