Default Crap.....The Senate Bill 1867 is DANGEROUS!!!

Seriously, has anyone heard this, the US senate just passed a bill that would allow the president/or government to use the military to detain any US citizen without due process or any charges at all, just based on pure suspicion, they have declared america a battlefield. This is susposed to "protect" us from "terrorist" huh........lol at the politicians trying to get military protection from the soon to be angry masses.

It only got 93 votes in the Senate

Don't worry, Obama has vowed to veto it

That means we should be okay

    Terrorists won though

All other Senators are void and should be removed and arrested for treason immediately

Congress has a 9% approval rating

What will it be next year?

It's quite frightening that they even considered this at all, it literally gives the US government almost unlimited power to silence whoever is deemed suspect without any evidence or charges/trial. It seems to be straight out of nazi germany or some weird sci fi story.

And freaking John McCain, I didn't expect him to be such a traitor to the american people, with his service history and all. I already know when push comes to shove, the military is going to be behind the american people over these government criminals, the military/police are only willing to do so much.

So we have only 7 Senators who don't completely suck?

I agree that they should all be charged with treason. How long would it take to build a gallows with 93 nooses?

I guess if this becomes law, it will probably be found unconstitutional, but it would still suck for the people detained because of this obscene legislation.
"We grow up thinking that beliefs are something to be proud of, but they're really nothing but opinions one refuses to reconsider. Beliefs are easy. The stronger your beliefs are, the less open you are to growth and wisdom, because "strength of belief" is only the intensity with which you resist questioning yourself. As soon as you are proud of a belief, as soon as you think it adds something to who you are, then you've made it a part of your ego."

Well at least we know their game plan.

Now they are going to work the slippery slope and pass it bit by bit using extreme and rare case scenarios to first legislate and then expand by federal courts with other extreme and rare scenarios to act as precedents. After we accidental kill too may collateral victims overseas one of there family will strike back and they will reintroduce the legislation with fanfare and it will pass.

The odds of being killed by terrorism? what is that? Less then the odds of being killed by a poisonous snake. How about all the anti-poisonous snake legislation that is being overlooked due to this terrorism hysteria?

Basically, if they do away with due process then it does not matter what they really suspect you of or who you are, it's only supposed to apply to Al Qaeda suspects but that is literally a meaningless red herring meant to throw people off(after all, Al Qaeda makes a good boogeyman). With this bill, the US government does not need any evidence or jusification for detaining and possibly torturing or killing US citizens it even suspects, and this is permanent too. Someone wise said we should never sacrifice our freedom for security, this bill is clearly treasonous.
