    Default Legalize Ecstacy?

We all see tons of pro-pot supporters whom favor the legaliztion of marijuana because it's a relatively harmless recreational drug, but how come MDMA gets no love?

Should MDMA/Ecstacy be legalized, or should it remain illegal?

    lol no..

Forget the Dateline stories of previously hot party girls with fried brains. Sad as that is. Some of my own acquaintences are literally fucking stupid from doing too much of it. One almost died, and he's probably the most stupid of the bunch (as in "DURRRP...I have slurred speech and can't form coherent thoughts at times" stupid. Not as in "KDude is being an asshole and calling people stupid for the sake of it" stupid).

Really :orly???: I mean when I browsed the wiki page of damaging effects of it I saw how it could cause certain damage but I never heard of it making people stupider. Is there any sufficient data that shows that such after effects are common place? I mean your personal evidence could be skewed due to other substances that your freinds take or your own personal bias against the drug, just saying.

That's also possible. They weren't limited to ecstacy.

Needless to say, anything that makes your girlfriend come on to me is probably not a good thing either. Much as I hate to say that. :|

    Legalize it.

How many people really want to use ecstasy, but don't because it's illegal?
"We grow up thinking that beliefs are something to be proud of, but they're really nothing but opinions one refuses to reconsider. Beliefs are easy. The stronger your beliefs are, the less open you are to growth and wisdom, because "strength of belief" is only the intensity with which you resist questioning yourself. As soon as you are proud of a belief, as soon as you think it adds something to who you are, then you've made it a part of your ego."

Then again, if your girlfreind came onto me, that would be awesome!

I'm sorry, I couldn't resist. In all seriousness though, as long as the drug itself is of less calibur and destruction as booz then I think it should be made legal; it makes no sense to allow some drugs and not others when the former are more dangerous than the latter; that should be a principle for all drugs.

I'm not sure of the exact number of those who want to use ecstasy but don't because of it's status, I'd have to research to find a reliable chart or survey or something. Personally speaking though, I's be willing to try it if it was legal.

The only reason I can see useful in legalizing it is because street ecstacy is usually a cocktail, sometimes mixed with LSD, meth, heroin, cocaine.. You don't know what you're getting. There's also the indirect effects of it simply being amidst a drug culture, where those other substances are usually taken anyways or mixed seperately. The drug culture also has the weird habit of encouraging coming down from these drugs by popping a bunch of Xanax. It's just all kinds of stupid.

In a more controlled situation, ecstacy might not be so bad. Not sure. It was originally developed alongside other therapeutic drugs, like antidepressants. There must be a reason why it failed though. LSD used to be legit as well, and shrooms are completely natural, but that doesn't prove anything. I can tell you myself it's not good for you.
