Default Reborns, valid needs or maladaption?

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandsty...=FBCNETTXT9038

So, are the reborns a great idea which are going to help people and meet needs or are they something which are they just adults playing with toys like children?

creepy IMO. honestly before I read the article I thought it was going to be either about born again christians or people who dress up like infants and toddlers. both which are creepy.

I dunno....it sounds kind of creepy to me. I'm not sure why, I know the feeling isn't rational. I suppose it could helpful for educational purposes but beyond that.....yeah, just bothers me. Sorry, I realize this post isn't very helpful.

Its pretty close to my own thinking on the topic to be honest.

I've been talking about it with some of my friends and they talked about how useful it could be in the case of people who're psychologically unfit to be parents but are fixated on the whole having a baby thing, to be honest I dont think it'll neutralise the problem for good.

Makes me feel kinda squick actually. There's some thing a little unnatural about it. I honestly can't figure out why I feel that way, I mean it's not really different from porcelain dolls is it? (no, I don't collect those either).
Real babies scare me too though. I always did look at women with that extreme maternal drive as slightly unbalanced, having known one or two....this is kind of a perversion of that.
Currently submerged under an avalanche of books and paper work. I may come back up for air from time to time.
Real life awaits and she is a demanding mistress.
