The question isnt if Republicans are concerned with these issues, the question is if these opinions on the topic are mainstream(they are). And Republicans arent concerned with a super sekkret cabal of George Soros funded Scientists making up Global Warming for some raisen? So they all decided to trust the scientists instead of Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh?
The key word being mainstream. Why do you assume those people represent the republican mainstream?

I didn't realize all "Jesus freaks" took that position. I certainly never have. I'm not even a conservative. I'm a libertarian republican. (Yes, an actual libertarian. Not a conservative who's afraid to be called conservative)

You can argue better than this, can't you?

The fact that only 1 of the potential nominees believes in evolution and global warming was a pretty strong indicator as well.

The number of strict creationists is virtually the same as evolutionary creationists.

As far as global warming, not sure I have an answer to that one. People in general prefer to get their ideas from "the group." Republicans are really no different from anybody else in that way. It just so happens that on that particular issue, the Republican party is wrong. Unless a person is rather group-oriented, it shouldn't matter either way. Getting one's ideas from the group, rather than identifying with a group because of one's ideas, is totally backwards and shows a lack of critical thought.

There was no indication that politics had anything to do with that statement at all.

Conservatives acting conservative using their religion as an excuse for a policy is different from the religion determining the policy.

A 16% difference is a very big difference especially when dealing with numbers this big.

Must have looked at the wrong numbers, I'd thought I read 40% strict creationists and 38% evolutionary creationists.
