With the murders, child prostitution, people defecating in the streets, Heroin over doses, etc. it's really hard to take these groups seriously as being anything more than a bunch of disgruntled babies looking for somewhere to target their anger.

So again I ask, what the hell is an 84 year old lady doing standing in front of riot cops?
    Stop being a moron.
    Whoops.

You mention right and wrong when it's a question of lawful or unlawful. That's a dangerous assumption to confuse or mix the two together. The police are not unlawful in their attempts (even with force) for removing those protestors. Hate to say it but it's true.

EDIT: I'm not under the belief that police do not make errors and some abuse power. This is why society should be vigilant with any authority. However, speaking just of this situation - their actions are lawful.

Why are there riot cops at a peaceful protest with 84 year old ladies?
    Whoops.

It's only peaceful until it comes time for the city ordinances to be enforced and law officers brought in. These people won't take no for an answer, and then a clash ensues. Sorry, but the government and the law is going to stand firm until they achieve their end (removing tents, getting protestors to stop blocking traffic, etc). If that means using physical force to restrain or to move a crowd, then that's how it happens. If my 84 year old grandma is tempted to go out and involve herself, I'd probably advise her against it... I'd at least tell her, "when Police show up, it's probably the best decision to move to a new location." I'm just using common sense here.

Sounds like you need to write your city government offices if you don't like their ordinance. The police are doing the job they're supposed to.

Or we can blame the cops who are just out to attack people because they get off on having to deal with citizen complaints, internal affairs and risk losing their job and facing criminal charges.

They are doing a poor job of arresting criminals. Attacking a person or group of persons is assault.

The number of officers arrested stands at 0

They're free to not beat up old ladies if they want to, all it takes for evil to succeed is the mass of good men to do nothing.
    Whoops.
