    Congratulations.

    You've got one part right.

Unfortunately, the empirical studies disagree with you.

And I give them a lot more credit than you.

Just as I rightly do with Robert Gates.

No, I have plenty of arguments.

I just don't really care about going into them in much more depth, cuz you're obviously not a worthwhile interlocutor.

    Consider this:

I say I'm right, and the authorities (and empirical studies) agree with me.

    You just say you're right.

Then you have the audacity to say, "All you're saying is that you're right and that the authorities agree with you!"

If you don't see the stupidity of such an act, well, I guess it makes sense why we're having this conversation.

    It is, really.

Go move to Europe with all your pinko buddies and enjoy their sovereign debt crisis wrought by the kinds of policies you espouse.

My kind will fix the damage your kind (and Bush II) have done, and we'll come out of this crisis stronger than ever.

Your kind have set up an unsustainable entitlement system that will bankrupt this country.

You also resist any attempt to reform it, thus further endangering our country.

Explain this. Many nations implement much larger health care initiatives than medicare. Remember, medicare only covers a small number of Americans, rather than all Americans.

How would the country go bankrupt if tax revenue increases? Wouldn't the exact opposite happen? Wouldn't federal debt decrease if tax revenue increases?

I am bad at math, you should explain this to me

Zarathustra, how do you propose America ensures that a citizen never goes without food, roof and healthcare? Or are you entirely dismissive of the thought of ensuring a minimum amount of welfare - a safety net - for each citizen?

Yes, and have you heard of the sovereign debt crisis in Europe?

The level to which taxes would have to increase would cripple the rest of the economy.

That's the part you don't get.
