Mitt Romney hasnt stuck his foot in his mouth in a while now. I dont like it, it feels weird, like the calm before a storm. Hes up to something.

Thats what he does, he says absolutely nothing, tries to cover both bases while saying nothing...and saying nothing of substance so he doesn't put a foot in his mouth and hope to get elected.

I'm not confident in Ron Paul’s approach to abruptly disarm, walk away, and hope for the best for the sake of perfect liberty for all. Tonight, he claimed he can provide security without sacrificing rights, but he didn't elaborate on that point. These are tense times where we've stirred up the world with war. These are not times for hasty dismissal of tools, technologies, and alliances, which ensure our safety (and liberty over the long term). When we cut and run, will our enemies get revenge? Will our friends find recourse? I'd like to hear him brainstorm and candidly weigh the possible catastrophic consequences resulting from hasty decision making, and hear about the contingency plan.

IIRC only Paul and Huntsman oppose the Patriot Act

Ron Paul's foreign policy is retarded. Even his domestic policy is retarded. I like the guy, but he's the quintessential example of why an INFJ should not be running things. His tertiary Ti causes him to be far too obsessed with certain principles he holds dear, cuz he then extends these principles far beyond the point of practical utility. I like the guy, and I like what he has to say about a lot of things. I also think the mainstream media, particularly Fox, has intentionally screwed him over. But he's just too detached from reality, for the reason I mentioned, about many of the things you mentioned, @Nerd Girl. It's a shame, too, cuz if he could just bring himself down to reality a bit more, I'd probably support him.

There needs to be new candidates running in the primaries. Without a hitch I say screw Rick Perry and screw Herman Cain. As for the others, I just don't see anything very compelling.

The fear mongering by all of the Republican candidates besides Ron Paul and John Huntsman is outrageous. By our military occupying so many countries we antagonize countries/their people and their neighboring countries. For what? So we can safely send American jobs overseas? Its ironic that the result is that this overseas military spending impoverishes our country and we loose our civil liberties.

The net result is that the American people will be enslaved with debt, no freedom left (after the politicians take them away to "protect us" from the people all over the world that they annoy and besiege), and with nothing left but a stockpile of weapons.

The enemy is not foreign countries or even Islam. Our greatest enemy is our own foreign policy of interventionism.

How about an interational policy of treating other countries in a manner of how we would like them to treat us?
