A guy that my ex boyfriend used to bake meth/speed with, was in jail with Chopper.

I was not delighted by the association. He DID however do an awesome Chopper impression.

It was amusing and disturbing all at once.

Terrible things happen to good people every day.
Consequentially, I am not one of the good people.
I am one of the terrible things.

Amazing Animal Fact: The venom of a stonefish can kill a human in two hours.
The fact that you've nearly been offed by a stonefish puts you in the top 5 for coolest people I know.
And so long as you haven’t experienced this: to die and so to grow,
you are only a troubled guest on the dark earth

But hey, if it makes you feel better @Victor, when I was in Oz, I noticed most Aussies didn't care much about the US, either. I remember talking to my American friend over the phone on July 4th, and she asked me if the Australians were celebrating the 4th of July.

I was like, "um, I'm in Australia, I don't think anyone here cares about or is even aware that it's an American holiday...."

I remember a Scottish guy telling me the reason he loved Antipodeans so much, was because we were so direct and called spades a fucking shovel.
Currently submerged under an avalanche of books and paper work. I may come back up for air from time to time.
Real life awaits and she is a demanding mistress.

    Yus.

But we're also: full of self-doubt and pessimism, have inferiority issues and are slightly neurotic. The Aussies are outgoing, confident, driven, bold, and optimistic. We often compare the differences in terms of those between the US and the UK.

Huh, I did not know this one. Yes, it is a very antipodean thing to add "ie" to everything. Perhaps this is what offends the Americans?

They did the same for us with Russell Crowe!
ANZUS baby, (well without the US I guess) it's going to be big!

Lol, I cross my southern cross that I always correct any misguided peeps about Russell Crowe's heritage. He's all yours. (So is Richard Wilkins/Wilde I believe :p )

    Making the unconscious, conscious

It's not so hard. All we need to do is to become aware of our own unconscious, and the unconscious feelings of others becomes transparent.

For heaven's sake, the unconscious feelings are revealed all the time, by our body language, the way we walk, the way we talk, the way we write, and the way we make love.

God help me, the whole purpose of therapy is to make the unconscious, conscious.

American history is common knowledge here. It's just that we reject it. We reject the revolution against lawful authority and we reject civil war.
