Absolutely not. There's an army of lawyers with too much time on their hands. If they what Obama did was remotely illegal, he would be in court.

When the president does it, that means it is not illegal, don't you know anything?

Richard Nixon was ahead of his time. A true visionary.

Giving them real power to act is not about absolute trust. If we gave them too little power, oppression would come from other sources. So it's the lessor of two evils. Give power to whom we have a chance at controlling.

And just how does granting the executive power to make unilateral decisions to kill people advance our control?

In general, private lawyers can't prosecuted federal crimes.

As far as civil suit it has essentially been tried by his father and dismissed by the federal courts. That is the legal precedent so far that the federal courts are taking a hands off approach and nipping such civil cases against the government at the bud.

What was Obama's motivations? Did he do it as retribution, revenge, or a preemptive statistical analysis of the likelihood that it would happen again? What information was it based on? Why might a legal proceeding impede some concept of justice, whereas a bombing might not (instead of assuming legal proceedings always lead to greater ethics)? What is justice?

The other side already has that power. Restraining our side would help the other side win and impose their will on us.

But they can lobby the congress for impeachment, if a crime has indeed been committed.

Still, their suit was dismissed due to the lack of merit, not because jurisdiction.
