Steve Jobs doesn't give an ENTP vibe to me.

He appears to be a control freak. That's what I understand from what I have read about him.

I haven't met him nor have I watched videos of him. So I could be wrong, he could be an ENTP.

Still, from what I know of him (read) he doesn't give an ENTP vibe at all.

    Inventing doesn't always mean ENTP.

    Yes, he looks extremely ENTJ.

My brother is that way, and he's entp. He wants things done his way.
I think any type can be a "control freak". My bro is ENTP 8. (With 8's, control is an issue, so if a P is an 8, well.....)
The biggest control freak in my S.O.'s company is actually an INTP. He is a ruthless dictator lol......

    Your brother,

    (1) does he feel the need to control? or
    (2) does he have a temptation to tell others the best way to do things? or
    (3) does he seem to enjoy telling others what's on his mind?

Nah, still think he's entp.... but, either way, maybe we can all agree he is a megalomaniac lol. If he is entj, he must have heavy P; if he is entp, he must have heavy J. I think the entp defintions fit him better than the entj definitions, overall. The entj definitions fail to describe his essence, imo.

Wow, he had an ad agency that put together that ad? But I thought he did all of that himself.....

He wanted to be a teacher, initially. I think it comes from a place where he believes he knows best the way things should be. He became a manager of a large seafood restaurant. He does want to be in control. He thinks he is more clever/more intelligent than everyone else.

    ---------------------------
    "In management

In the corporate world, control freaks tend to publicly admonish their inferiors, especially during meetings.[12] More positively, the term can also refer to someone with a limited number of things that they want done a specific way; professor of clinical psychology Les Parrott wrote that "Control Freaks are people who care more than you do about something and won't stop at being pushy to get their way."[13] There may be a fine line here. If a woman "prided herself on being a detail-oriented manager: when she ran a business she liked to know every nook and cranny, to check it was done right … [&] that trait had prompted some colleagues to brand her a 'control freak'",[14] was she so, or merely excelling at her job?

In some cases, the control freak sees their constant intervention as beneficial or even necessary; this can be caused by feelings of superiority, believing that others are incapable of handling matters properly, or the fear that things will go wrong if they do not attend to every detail. Thus in a research context, "a steeper hierarchy just disables the operation because it brings out the control freak … who wants to know exactly how money is being spent, right down to the last pencil".[15]

In other cases, they may simply enjoy the feeling of power it gives them so much that they automatically try to gain control of everything around them."

    ----From Wikipedia

By this definition, I would be labeled a control freak, which is why I went into business for myself, and won't hand-off any work to anyone else. The bolded applies to me, currently. I think Steve Jobs is more of a "power" control freak. He gets off on the power, whereas, I don't. But I think most of that definition would apply to Steve Jobs. He wants everything to be done his way. That's not terribly uncommon for people who want to front corporations or businesses.

The intp my S.O. works with would also fit the above description. He's the worst control freak I've ever seen. He can't even work in the office anymore, because other employees were quitting because of his behaviors.
